Harry Potter after 19 Years

Hi Guys! I am back with new Harry Potter. Since the end of both the Books and the Movies, we as fans are always in search of something new and interesting to quench our Harry Potter thirst. The Deathly Hollows end with a brief epilogue describing the life and status of our favorite characters 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts. In the final chapter, we see Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione  at Platform nine and three-quarters, King’s Cross seeing off their children to Hogwarts as the new academic year begins. September 1, 2017, that was last year officially marks “19 Years Later” from the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Both in the movies and the books, it brings a great sense of nostalgia for us as readers marking the end of an era for us. As we see adult Trio standing over there we realize how we have grown with these characters and finally, all this is coming to end. Its been a long time since it got over but we are still intrigued in knowing more about the life of our beloved characters with whom we grew up. So let’s dive in-

Harry Potter

After the Battle Harry doesn’t go back to Hogwarts to Complete his 7th Year at Hogwarts rather he joins The Ministry of Magic as a successful Auror along with Ron Weasely. As quoted by J.K. Rowling herself “Harry and Ron utterly revolutionized the Auror Department”. Harry eventually rose at the top of the department and later headed the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Harry Potter also made occasional visits to the school to give lectures on Defense Against the Dark Arts. At some Point Harry, Ron and Hermione were featured on Chocolate Frog Cards for their Accomplishments.

Harry and Ginny eventually got married post the traumatic war and had three children- James Serious Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter. He also acted as a father figure to Teddy Lupin as his God Father after the death of his parents Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. He also got back Sirius’s Bike after Mr Weasley fixed it for him.

After defeating the Dark Lord Harry could not speak Parseltongue and the Scar was also pain-free. Thus concluding by saying “All is well now”.

Ron Weasely

Just like Harry, Ron Weasely doesn’t complete his 7th Year at the Hogwarts and joined him in becoming a successful Auror at the Ministry of Magic. They helped Kingsley the new Minister of Magic in re-building of the wizarding society free from all sorts of discrimination. After to years of working as an Auror, Ron quit his job to help George in managing wizarding joke emporium Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. His biggest achievement till date remains to get his picture on a Chocolate Frog Card. Also, Ron and Hermione got married and have two children Rose and Hugo thus enjoying a perfect family life.

Hermione Granger

Hermione was the only one from a trio who went back to Hogwarts for completing her final year. She gave her N.E.W.T’s exam before joining Ron and Harry in the Ministry of Magic. She had a successful career in the Ministry. She started off as S.P.E.W. at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, where she worked for improving the lives of house elves. She, later on, became the Head of the Department of the Magical Law Enforcement before becoming the Minister of Magic. She enjoyed a happy and blissful family with Ron and their two children. Also, she is Godmother to Harry’s second child Albus Severus Potter.

Ginny Weasely

Ginny Weasely had an athletic career playing for the Holyhead Harpies the all-female Quidditch team. Later she left the game to raise her three children- James, Albus and Lily. After retiring from the broomstick she became the senior Quidditch correspondent and later rose to the position of sports editor at The Daily Prophet.

Neville Longbottom

Immediately after the war Neville joined Harry as an Auror for a brief period of time but later on returned to Hogwarts as a Herbology Professor, becoming one of the most beloved teachers in the school. He married Hannah Abbott from Hufflepuff and they lived in Leaky Cauldron, where she became the new landlady. Hannah retired as the lady as of 2014. Neville and Hannah never have a child of their own. But Neville is the Godfather of Harry’s second son Albus Potter. Neville’s Parents never fully recovered as they were shifted into the non-curable part of the hospital.

Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood pursued her love for magical creatures and travelled the world in the search of new creatures as a renowned naturalist (magizoologist). It’s fitting that she married a fellow naturalist Rolf Scamander, grandson of Newt Scamander the author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. They have twin sons- Lorcan and Lysander. Harry’s Daughter is named Lily Luna Potter after her. Luna also becomes the Chief Editor of a leading Daily Newspaper.

The Malfoy’s

After the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, The Malfoy’s were able to avoid Azkaban due to their last-minute allegiance change. Lucious found his son as affectionate as ever. Draco married Astoria Greengrass and had a son named Scorpius who was raised to have more tolerant views and has a kind and gentle heart. Draco and Harry maintained a Civil Relationship but never became friends.

In an Essay about Draco at Pottermore J.K. Rowling’s suggests further notes of positivity about where she thinks Draco ended up. It includes a reference to Draco’s interest in alchemy, which apparently isn’t all about the gold…

Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus is still there working on the grounds of  Hogwarts. For a brief period of time, he enjoyed a romantic Relationship with Madame Maxime but it never worked out and Hagrid is still maintaining his Bachelorhood. His love for creatures still persists. The Three Headed Dog Fluffy was set loose in the Forbidden Forest.

Minerva McGonagall

After the Battle of Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall took over the Office of Headmaster of Hogwarts. She takes Hogwarts to new heights and Glory. Her animagus form makes catching defaulters an easy task. She was also featured on the Chocolate Frog’s Card for a time. Though she is a great Headmistress there is a great chance that the new generation of Potters and Weasleys can force her into early retirement.

Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley

fleur and bill

Fleur and Bill are happily married. After the war, French and British Ministries of Magic awarded Fleur with medals of bravery. Bill has since returned to his work as a curse-breaker for Gringotts. They have three children Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. Victorie was born on the day of Battle of Hogwarts thus they named her Victorie french for Victory.

Rita Skeeter

rita

Rita Skeeter still writing for the Daily Prophet mostly reporting about the Harry and team at the 2014 Quidditch World Cup. Skeeter has largely made her fortune writing tawdry, speculative biographies. Titles have included Snape: Scoundrel or Saint and Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob, as well as vastly inaccurate biographies of Harry Potter and Newt Scamander.

Teddy Lupin

The orphaned Teddy was raised by his grandmother Andromeda but had several surrogate parents, including his godfather Harry. He was a Metamorphmagus and was a Hufflepuff just like his mother. He went on to date Victoire Weasley — the eldest daughter of Bill and Fleur — who he was caught snogging in The Deathly Hallows epilogue.

This all about our favourite characters and their lives after the Battle of Hogwarts. Let me know if I left out someone.
